Good news
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me to preach good news to the poor, the Lord Jesus said, and the same commission is given to His servants who desire to magnify His holy Name only, and give Him glory, as we preach the good news about the salvation granted to lost sinners through faith in Him and in His precious blood shed for us on Calvary.
Rest
Come unto Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
The Lord Jesus calls us to Himself to find rest and peace and love in Him. There is no other place to find perfect and enduring peace and rest, since only Jesus shed His precious blood for us, and no-one can come to the Father except through Him. Repent of your sins, turn from your wicked ways, and receive mercy and forgiveness in His holy Name.
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me besides the still waters; He restores my soul.
Harvest
Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the LORD of hosts.
It is the Holy Spirit who convicts men and women of sin, and who reveals the Lord Jesus as Saviour and Redeemer and Lord of all. No man can save a sinner from his sins; it is Jesus who saves, by His Spirit. Pray for lost sinners, because God is ‘not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance’. The time is near when Jesus will return in power and glory, and then it will be too late for the unrepentant. ‘The night is far spent, the day is at hand.’ Let us bring in the harvest, while it is yet day.
Behold I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
Follow
Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.
Is the Lord calling you? Is He speaking to your heart? Is He trying to get your attention? Spend time alone with God. Speak to Him as a Friend, a loving Father. Call upon His Name and ask Him to come into your heart and remain there, changing you from the inside out, cleansing you from sin, preparing you for ministry in His Name. Do not delay, today is the day to respond to Him.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
Drink
He who is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.
The Holy Spirit is given to all who believe and put their trust in the Lord Jesus. He dwells within us, puts love in our hearts, sanctifies us, anoints us to preach the gospel and serve the Master. Where would we be without Him, with no-one to guide us in the paths of righteousness, and keep us until we reach our heavenly home, by the grace of God? Let Him fill you, sanctify you, change you into the likeness of God’s Son, heal you, and empower you to bear witness to the Saviour of our souls.
He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
BEHOLD!
BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD!
Do you see Him, risen from the dead, the first-born of all creation, the Son of God, the Prince of Peace, the everlasting Father, the ruler of all creation? This great God knows you, believes in you, wants you to come to Him and be saved. Do not let pride or superstition hinder you. Come running to the Saviour of your soul, the eternal King, the great I AM, the God of love.
